Geography
The Fibertown project is a response to growing demand from Houston and coastal companies seeking data security and even recovery space beyond the reach of hurricanes and tropical storms yet near enough for easy access and cost-effective DR drills. Fibertown is uniquely situated at the nexus of major carrier fiber tracks in downtown Bryan, Texas, providing a level of connectivity and redundancy unsurpassed in the industry.
Connectivity
Fibertown is uniquely situated 150 feet from a fiber nexus in Bryan, Texas, a fiber crossroads for five of the world's nine Tier I internet carriers. Multiple fiber circuits have been implemented via multiple carriers to serve all bandwidth and automatic fail-over business continuity objectives. Partnering with sister company Matrix Datacom, a Texas CLEC, allows Fibertown to build private fiber in public right-of-way into additional carriers as required.
